Make a team chess game without leaving where your team already is. You get a link; everyone who opens it picks a side and votes on each move.
These only make the game and hand back its link. The moves are always people's: nothing here can play or vote.
Add TeamChess to your workspace once. Then in any channel, type the two teams:
/teamchess Sales vs Dev
TeamChess posts the game in the channel with a Join the game button. Add a clock at the end if you like, such as /teamchess Kids vs Parents 5+5. /teamchess help lists the clocks.
It only asks for the slash command. It can't read your messages.
Install the plugin. In Claude Code, run:
/plugin marketplace add eyal-gor/teamchess-plugin /plugin install teamchess@teamchess
Or add only the connector, from your terminal: claude mcp add --transport http teamchess https://teamchess.co/mcp
Then ask for a game in plain words:
https://teamchess.co/mcp
In a chat, ask for a game the same way: "Start a TeamChess game, Marketing vs Sales." Claude asks before it makes the game.
https://teamchess.co/mcp
In a chat, ask: "Make a TeamChess game, Design vs Product."
Add these two lines to ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.teamchess] url = "https://teamchess.co/mcp"
Restart Codex and ask: "Create a team chess game, Ops vs Legal, 5+5." Older versions of Codex may need an update to connect to an address like this.
Any app that takes an MCP server by address (Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and others) can use the same one:
https://teamchess.co/mcp
create_game, with two team names (up to 24 letters each) and a clock: 3+2, 5, 5+5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Without a clock it's 10 minutes. It answers with the game's link and its code.
create_tournament, with a name and up to 16 teams, and edit_tournament to change them before it starts. It answers with a link to share and an organizer link with the Start button.
