TeamChess (teamchess.co) is a site for chess games between teams. This page says what it keeps about you, why, and how to have it removed. It doesn't sell anything about you or show ads.

What it keeps

Apps that make games for you

TeamChess can be added to Slack, Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other AI apps. They can only create a game or a tournament and hand back its link. They receive the team names, tournament name and clock you ask for, and the link that comes back. They can't play, vote, or read anything about you or your games. The Slack app uses only its slash command and can't read your messages.

Analytics

The site counts page views and actions (like "made a game") with PostHog, through teamchess.co, to see what works. It doesn't build a profile of you across other sites.

Where it's kept

On Cloudflare, which runs the site. Google, Lichess, Slack and PostHog handle the parts named above under their own policies.

Removing it

Clearing the site's data in your browser forgets your player id on that device. To have your account, games and name removed from the server, email hello@autobirds.com or use the Feedback button on any page, and include your player name; it's done within 30 days.

Children

Families play together on TeamChess. A child can play without an account and without giving any personal details; accounts and Google sign-in are for people 13 and over.

Changes

If this changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
